"I've worked for Computer Sciences Corporation for about 15 years. The hours were long, but the pay was quite good, and I had a bit of freedom in what I did. However there was little room for advancement, and there wasn't much opportunity for training and the like. Also, there seldom seemed to be enough people to reach in the event of an issue, complicating things."
"This company is the worst to work for in the DC area. As a sub contractor, CSC is asking soon-to-be employed workers to switch to CSC and take up to 30% pay cut. The managers do not care about their employees nor do they care about the client (I do not feel bad because the client is not too bright.)."
"I have worked at CSC for a year now. I work with a wonderful team of members and managers."
"I have worked for CSC since 2007. I find the company very employee friendly and it provides an excellent workplace environment to nurture my skills and take my professional career to a whole new level. I would recommend others to join the organisation."
"I have worked with CSC from May 2010 till date."
"I enjoyed working for CSC. This was a great work environment."
"With CSC since June 2010 and require visa sponsorship."
"I had an unscrupulous government Branch Manager convince CSC management to remove me from the team, based on lies, and the CSC management ended up doing the same thing, lying about circumstances, only to "please" a government Branch Manager that was not trusted much with other government employees as well. Not sure why CSC management (Task Manager and her manager) had to be so "diplomatically nasty" about the situation. I found out that both managers were let go not long after that though. I had a very good relationship with the CSC Task Manager who initially hired me, but then he was "butting heads" with the government Branch Manager, and was later replaced with the other managers, that seemed to want to please the corrupt Branch Manager. But original Task Manager remained at CSC, but in a different role."
"Nice place to work. I would recommend this. Not good for entry level."
"Ok company. Compensation is very low."
"The pay was very good. However, the management culture was old school and very conservative with regard to minorities indigenous to the US (i.e., they will tolerate you, just don't speak up about anything related to discrimination, or incompetent managers, etc.). They hire and retain those that tow the line with a healthy disregard for any talent that wants to bring positive change. I am not saying everyone was this way, but for sure, the majority of those with whom I had contact with at the management level."
"I've worked for CSC since January 2009 and this is best company ever. The company has a branch in my country but located in 82 countries over the world, I worked with clients in Australia, UK, US, and I am happy with the experiences I got from them. Hope company can continue to be strong and succeed in future."
"CSC is a good place to work with best in class infrastructure and opportunities."
"This company has been "streamlining" and changing processes of everything since I started. There's no way to get promotions, its a dead end. Management has no idea what is happening and doesn't seem to care. Would not recommend working here."
"I worked for CSC since the Hughes Aircraft outsourcing contract of all IT services in 1995. In the beginning, it was a dynamic, personal company that believed in its people. At the end of my tenure at CSC, it had evolved to onsite US personnel with a radical shift to outsourcing all non-ITAR work to India."
