"Don't interview at this job. It's a joke like the program planner at Universal City."

"They don't hire enough computer clowns! They can make anything work!"

"Release the clowns! And let them go... hire more Sponge Bob techs!"

"No raises, no promotions, minimal chances for advancement and no career paths."

"Two of your core values are Integrity and Respect. Practice what you preach. Don't ask questions that you don't want to hear answers for."

"Keep it simple, don't write a book when a memo will do the job."

"Contract work, contracts end, however I am still being submitted for new contracts as they come up."

"just a little more delegation of responsibility and allow subordinates to reach out and grab new opportunities and excel in innovative ways."

"The company is very focused on certifications, make sure yours are up to date."

"CompuCom is outsourcing. I'd rather work for the company I support."

"Better recognition for those doing a good job, and promoting those qualified for the available job."

"I enjoyed that the managers would let us work as long as we did our job and had no complaints from the customer. The management had excellent project management skills."

"Just be yourself and even though it is IT based, you still need to know how to use tools, like drills and screwdrivers."

"It was contract work and was not a contract to hire position."

"the management was great. They were very understanding, and never got angry in meetings, even when they had some lead techs that just didn't seem to get it."

"Independence - start and end work day at home, visit client sites throughout the day."

"In my opinion, CompuCom has lowered their standards during the past 3-4 years to where the focus is more on quantity of work rather than quality. It's not a bad place to start in IT but a bad choice for long term employment."

"Management does not take advice from technicians that would help reduce company expense and increase productivity."

"Management should listen to employees who are out in the field actually working and have full understanding of work conditions/issues."

"I enjoyed the position assisting users via phone support. I enjoyed working with my coworkers."

"I would recommend finding out if the person has VPN, remote desktop experience, along with blackberry."

"I was working the 3 am to 11:30 am shift, which started taking a toll."

"I would have recommended looking into some of the people knowledge of pc's before hiring."

"Lack of opportunities to advance. Make the sale culture that does not value investment."

"Keep local offices open with good representation in California and the west."

"The 3:00 AM start time. Other than that it was fun."

"Be prepared to drive around and close many calls a day."

"Having to use my own car to service the customers."

"Streamline the processes into fewer applications that are used to complete the job."

"I like our clients and the work that I do. I like doing something different everyday. I really like not knowing what to expect on certain accounts, troubleshooting new systems or just trying to find the solution is my greatest strength."

"Be prepared to sacrifice your time to make the company relevant."

"I did wish that the company would provide a vehicle to drive to client sites."

"That the engineers are the backbone of the company, because we get job done and we really get our hands dirty."

What do you like about working at CompuCom?

"Actually hard to say -- had limited contact with actual CompuCom people, and that was only by phone and email. Actual physical contact was only with the client company."

What don't you like about working at CompuCom?

"The people who act as headhunters seem rather disorganized; took a week for the office who arranged the contract assignment with the client to get all of us contractors the ability to log into the CompuCom system to actually report our hours to be able to get paid. Never had any face-to-face contact with anyone from CompuCom, our manager was actually two states away."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would provide more direct feedback to the contracted employees."
