What do you like about working at Microsoft?

"I like the good benefits, flexible work hours, and decent compensation. There are lots of different functions to move to if you make the right connections."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you articulate why you want to work at Microsoft Corporation. Show that you can hit the ground running, as there is a steep culture ramp."

What don't you like about working at Microsoft?

"Management is very poor. People seem to be there to do a job and not push the envelope. Status quo is accepted. It has become a bureaucratic mess."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The review system is terrible. It rewards the wrong type of behavior. Instead of getting good work done, it makes people work to protect their kingdoms so they are not voted off the island."

What do you like about working at V3 Systems?

"I like the technology, it is cutting edge! I found their technology a game changer. It smashed the competition."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be concerned about working with their sales organization because currently it is a roller coaster ride. Systems Engineers have at it."

What don't you like about working at V3 Systems?

"I hate the petty politics and lack of professional sales management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire a professional sales manager with industry experience. Understand the true value of the channel. Understand that business is built upon relationships, not contacts in a database. Be humble, it's not like you can afford to disregard channel relationships when you have not even broke the $100M mark. Setting up your corporate headquarters into a call center when some of your channel partners has thousands of call center sales people. You sell a complex and expensive solution, which cannot always be sold by phone."
