"Lack of accountability among division staff executives, lack of experience or vision regarding excellence in operations and execution. Many division execs seemed to be learning on the job while needing to hand out lessons. Not a professional management group in the three businesses I worked with."

"Hold selves accountable for operations within various functions -- there was a sort of clannishness amongst the division VPs that separated them from their functions. They were defensive about their functions without improving their performance. Take responsibility for function performance."

"I would suggest that they improve in hiring industrious, experienced, and well rounded people like me and not just because they have a biotech, pharmaceutical or masters degree that they are knowledgeable. I believe experience is the best teacher, not theories alone. Assessment of people should be fair and should be given to people who deserve it."
