"On the surface, working within the SQA group at Bally Technologies was a positive experience. The hours were rarely more than 40 a week. The problems began to appear when I began to show examples of my ability to do a great deal more than I was getting paid for. When I began to show examples of automation and programming abilities, creating new tools and expressing the desire to create even more on an official basis, I was welcomed with great promises. There were all false promises and I quit."

"Consistant. Low stress. easy work. Generally fairly laid back, slightly under business casual dress code."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Great stable company, relatively low stress, just creative enough to keep it interesting. But If you're looking for someplace where you can really push the boundaries of your creativity, this isn't the place for you."

What don't you like about working at Bally Technologies?

"Generally any where in the creative field has the same problems. Non-creative people making creative decisions so they can feel like they've contributed. Regular changes to artwork or animation based that don't really do anything but add more work for what usually seems like little more than a power play."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"More flexibility with scheduling, I would also put a higher value on quality of work and not quantity of work"

"Just be yourself; make sure you have a college degree."

"I was the only one in the tax dept. and it was a little lonely at times."

"To ensure subordinates have proper supervision from those in management positions."

"I get to work with a lot of customers that I help in utilizing the product and making it the best it can be for them."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"You will travel more then they tell you that you will and you will have to take the blame for all the issues that the basic knowledge developer that someone else hired missed. Do not ever expect anything from management to help you."

What don't you like about working at Bally Technologies?

"Multiple managers that cannot make a decision and will not help the customer unless they have a check in their hand. My company has been referred to many times by customers as having a lot of chiefs and only a few real workers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat your people like they are grownups and let them do the job you hired them to do. Also back them up against upper management and stop cowering to titles."
