"The excess long hours, workforce overworked, under paid, due to poor planning. Company had a lot of potential though."

"union take over was rough for many employees"

What do you like about working at Fleming Foods?

"They offered the biggest challenge yet in my profeesional career outside of the Miltary. I managed 50+ Union employees that were working without a contract. While it took a few months of not getting the results I needed, I slowly won most of them over by working along side them, being consistent in my management, and doing exactly what I said I was going to do."

What don't you like about working at Fleming Foods?

"After 12 very difficult month and making the progress that I had made, we were informed the operation was closing. I was offeref other positions in the comapny, but decided to stay in Oregon."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There needed to be a venue for consistent communication, there was a definate division between those who worked in the office and those in the warehouse. Trust was never there, and productivity suffered because of it."

What do you like about working at Fleming Foods?

"It taught me a lot about warehousing on a massive scale. The conveyor system they used was awesome."

"Union And management could not get along. This made for some bad working experiences."

"Make an effort to work with thte union, afterall, they are all you have at this poin"
