"Be prepared to work 7-days a week and a minimum of 10-hours a day."

What don't you like about working at American Income Life Insurance Co.?

"Working 9 am to 9 pm and at times not getting home until midnight. Expected to work 7-days a week if you didn't make your sales quota for the week. No benefits, medical allowance given after you reach so much in sales. Although the company has grown the past 28 months, it's due to people who come into the company and sell insurance to their families, not the amount of insurance sold to UNION Members, as stated in the initial seminar. The same people are contacted year after year and the database of prospective union members are NEVER removed after they have been contacted. 1 in 500 may realize that the insurance is a great value and purchase on the second visit, but the other 499 are upset that you are contacting them again."

What do you like about working at American Income Life Insurance Co.?

"The clients you meet; helping the clients understand the type of insurance they actually have instead of what they think they have. The product is the best price for the amount of coverage that I've seen."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Consider only if you really need a job, but keep looking. If you do accept the position plan to put in a lot of hours, sleep very little, and seldom see your family. This is perfect for a single person with no personal life, someone who doesn't need health insurance, and never needs time off."

What don't you like about working at American Income Life Insurance Co.?

"It's a pyramid, the more you recruit, the more money you make; very few enjoy the rewards and 12 hour days are the norm; There is NO work life balance. Traveling to meet a client and them not being home. Sales meetings are all hype to keep you from being discouraged."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be honest, when a potential client isn't interested, update the computer so new employees don't receive the same stale leads that have already been contacted. Assist all the employees with contacts, not just the new and your favorites. The new employees helped you get sales while they were in training, assist them with appointments instead of playing footsies with the other managers. If you want us all working on the phones, make sure there are enough office phones for everyone and the phones work."
