"When spun off, the consolidation of IT and other services resulted in poor implementation and needless layoffs."

"Nickel and Dime--don't care about employees, they are only an expense. Layoff every Monday. no job security. Too many mgrs from outside HP culture that are rejects from Oracle, EMC, Sun, Compaq. First mantra is to get rid of anybody that believes in the HP Way."

"Go back to the HP Way. Remember that people are your number one asset. If you don't have good ethical hardworking caring people then you will not succeed."

"The original concept was that you were your own boss of your own area of responsibility (i.e. the HP Garage concept). You owned it, you were responsible for it."

"Constant talk about getting rid of the test group and completely outsourcing all coding and test to China. Discussion was how you were expendable and what you needed to do to teach your replacement how to do your job responsibilities."

"Understand the reason that an internal house exists, and encourage the employees. Tell them that they are needed to provide the best product available."
