"There was no shared knowledge about what other units were doing; bonuses were poor; I had very little face-time with my supervisor, who worked in Seattle"

"Better integration of groups within the bank; create motivation for mid-level project managers to advance"

"At the time there was a lot of talk about moving the company to Florida."

"Washington Mutual was a combination of several banks due to various mergers. Overall, each individual bank's experience was considered, resulting in a team that worked very hard to not only ensure compliance but also the spirit of the compliance requirement."

"Corporate Management considered when appropriate all suggestions from the lines of business in implementing business unit controls."

"No longer work for Washington Mutual due to the merger with JP Morgan Chase."

"Working 6, sometimes 7 days a week. I was an acting branch manager, and had no immediate manager. And no recognition was given. Specially when I asked to be promoted."

"If the candidates know the subject, understand people and the dynamics of a big corp, they have a great opportunity."

"Decisions to execute a solution was a challenge. Given this was a huge corp., the ability to find the correct sponsors of a project or business owners resulted in a major effort to execute and deliver on a project or process."

"Remember the people...The human element is overlooked more often than most companies realize. Technology is wonderful, but the resources should be a priority to enhance the company and provide a healthy work environment for the success of the company."
