They deserve more from a company that can absolutely afford to give them more. "I feel like we were paid peanuts considering our store was making millions of dollars per day in sales. They would pay us as little as possible including starting out out as low as possible. All employees are started as temporary, so they can delay giving you benefits as long as possible. Once they make you part time, you wait a long time before you can enroll for benefits. Pay raises are done periodically and based upon manager feedback, but the raises are very tiny, only ranging up to $.50 an hour."
