"Thankful for the opportunity."
"I have worked for Walmart for 4 years. It is a great company to work with. I love their culture. They have more than a hundred thousand employees. I learned a lot of new things from them."
"Overall great work environment, The company actually cares about getting you the help you need to get an honest days work done. They do give you a lot of responsibilities however as professionals that is to be expected. Be prepared to think on you feet and ALWAYS be aware of corporate goals and objectives."
"I have worked for Walmart for over 3 years. It is great company and great team to work with. They were very cooperative and goal oriented."
"I've worked for Walmart for the past year. I've found it to be strongly focused on performance with little care or thought for their employees. Time off is hard to come by when you need it and they force mandatory overtime. Intercommunication between shifts needs to improve as there has been a disconnect when they attempt to work together. They put your needs on hold until their business needs are met. They prefer very flexible associates when it comes to both work and availability. This is to compensate for their seemingly preferred minimal staffing."
"I work for WalMart for several years while in school, along the way i went from being a stock associate to a daytime associate in electronics, then on to a customer service manager before resigning after graduation to go into my field. The chances for job growth is there but there is a problem with the benefits, I now pay 160 per week to cover me and my family in medical insurance which is over 300 dollars per month that i could use to feed my self with. In all it comes down to what store you work for at Walmart."
"I worked for Walmart with the overall objective to meet company goals and build effective teams and provide great customer relations."
"Worst Walmart ever. Working here was just the worst experience of my life. My C.S.M. Supervisor who name starts with a D, regularly Harass and Bully me through out my entire time of working at this depressing store. She Constantly yelled and made a lot of insults towards a lot of the workers here and ran out a lot of the stockman. It took them a very long time to get the Cart Manager remote fix, like 2 weeks and it made pushing in more Carts hard without it. They promise it would be fix quicker but lied like always. Advice to Walmart Management, If you treat your Employee's better maybe your store won't have such an high turnover rate!"
"Awful awful awful! I was employed there for 8 months. I ended up having to leave like most people did in the deli/bakery. The only few that were left were the trouble. The severe bullying, lying, back stabbing, drama, the treats....there was an associate who did all this and was bf with our dept. manager. This associate was reported on countless times, and nothing was done about any of it because not only were they buddies, but the dept. manager was with the actual store manager. That right there is against Walmart policy. They were keeping things quiet so corporate didn’t find out about their relationship. So several associates kept turning in this one very mean, vile, vulgar associate, and they were also turning in our dept manager. Nothing was EVER done to fix the situation. Associates who were making the complaints began quitting, transferring out. They were dropping like flies!Again this was all brought to management but nothing was done.Contacted corporate, they ignored it! Finally after this Associate had made her way thru our entire team, taking everyone down one by one, it was then my turn to feel her wrath. She sabotaged all my duties, tasks, I was bullied, my life was threatened on a daily basis.I never did anything to bring this on.I just went to work, did my job.I was targeted because this women targeted everyone, one by one.She lived to torture. Never in my life, and I am an older women, have I EVER seen such conspiracy, such negativity, such drama, and SO MUCH BULLYING!Please don’t ever work for the North side Walmart in Sheboygan, WI on Vanguard Drive. That whole entire store is a complete mess, and your treated so badly. You will be bullied, verbally abused, have your life threatened, will not be appreciated by your peers, the pay for the amount of work you do is poor, and I just strongly advise you not to work at this store. I’ve now sought legal council, and thus far have a big case, with lots of evidence, and witnesses. PLEASE DONT EVER WORK THERE!"
"I've been working for Signal 88 Security as a Security officer for almost 6 months now. I started off at $10.50 an hour. After gaining more experience and covering for other officers and training new officers, I was given a $1 raises every few months. Now I am making $12.50 an hour. Overtime rating is $17.85 an hour. Midtown Walmart in Anchorage, AK can be a little busier than most Walmarts in town. Security type jobs aren't suited for everyone. Due to the location, I mostly deal with homeless people, panhandlers, vagrant activity. Asset protection mostly deals with shoplifters. So the pay rate depends entirely to previous experience working in security. Overall management with Signal 88 and Walmart management and associates are all very friendly and I love working for Signal 88 and being a dedicated officer for Walmart properties."
"The worst job I ever had! Management was abusive and associates worked hard at not working hard. The new person was given the worst tasks."
"It’s pretty cool nice close knit family"
"I’ve only been at this position for a few months and according to my immediate supervisor have really exceeded all expectations in learning and applying the information required to succeed in this position, sadly due to 2 ass managers consistently interfering with my daily duties that result in late child care I’ll be leaving but it’s been a great learning position."
"The man that was supposed to be training me tried to run me off instead. Before my last break he told me that he hoped he didn’t run me off because he ran off the last guy. During my training he made vulgar remarks right in front of 2 young new female employees. Women are frequently sexually harassed at this establishment. Often right in front of the security guards and other employees. Management does nothing to stop it. In conclusion Walmart is a very hostile work environment."
"I've worked for 2 Walmart stores. The first store I worked for 3 years, then our store was closed, no longer there. Second one on Almaden Expressway. I was a cashier. People were great. Very serious hard working people."
