What do you like about working at Verizon Communications?
"Nothing. I worked there for 14 years. When it was GTE, it was better - not much - but better. The management - middle & top - are not smart people. Really. And I'm being generous. They promote sales people only - or fire them within a year. So sales was always a pressure keg. They would lie, cheat, and steal to make a sales deal. It was a girlfriend network. The manager let her girlfriends run wild. I quit. She was finally demoted, but she knew she could not stay at Verizon. Her decisions as general manager hurt all but her friends. After the demotion, she was promptly fired, along with my previous manager."
