"The main reason why someone would become a mail carrier: it pays well. The base pay is not all that exciting; you make all your money by working constantly. I often work 6 days/wk, often and 10 hrs/day. In the past 2 months, I have made over $9K (seriously). The cons are plenty: long hrs/days, having little work-life balance, stress, and inclement weather to deal with. If you can learn to roll with the punches and suck it up, the paychecks sure make it worthwhile."

Working at US Postal Service in Dallas, TX: 4 Employee Reviews

Clerk

"Look elsewhere before coming here and/or if possible, continue your education, beware of lies."

What do you like about working at US Postal Service?

"The compensation for the type of work done is excellent, as long as one shows up to work."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you have an established family member which is willing to help you get promoted and/or are willing to get paid for exploiting the casual workforce and never be held accountable for dumb actions, come aboard!!!!"

What don't you like about working at US Postal Service?

"Management which would never be allowed to run a MacDonald's is what is in charge. Even when mgmt. causes negligent accidents only the employee will be held accountable. Employee will be demoted and even lose seniority and transferred away from home as a result of any accident employee may have. Extremely racially divided by the good ole boy system, be it white or black."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire these new college graduates which will be available soon due to the economy, and give them the chance that current mgmt. has been given and failed to run as a business. Look at how to become part of the solution and not be the problem and stop the practice of sexual favors for positions."
