"Very nice location, helpful people, and a relaxed environment."
"The Slide-Ring materials project group in the Bruns lab focuses on synthesis, characterization of novel material – polyrotaxane for making glasses, gels and polymer coatings. My current research focuses on engineering a polyrotaxane coating for Poly-ethylene glycol based Micro-bubbles to be used in theranostics for molecular imaging. My co-workers and professors have been very helpful in making me comfortable with the lab environment and have constantly motivated me to become a better researcher over a span of few months."
"The university is invested in helping people meet their goals who are driven in their careers."
"I worked in an electrical engineering lab at CU Boulder with a PhD student studying the growth of cancer cells and bacteria in varying electromagnetic fields. I learned many new technological skills such as working with a spectrophotometer, a cell counter, autoclave machines, and chemostats. The experience was overall very good and rewarding."
"I have worked as a Graduate Research Assistant. It was good. I liked the work I did as it was related to fields of my academic pursuits. I was encouraged by my professor to work better and improve my understanding of the subject matter."

"I've worked for the University of Colorado Boulder Physics Department for over a year. The experience has been great and my supervisor is really nice to work with."
"The school is wonderful, the people are engaging, and the pay is competitive for graduate students. However, as is the norm all over academia, tenure track positions are hard to come by."
"I have been working for the Bio-Inspired Perception and Robotics Laboratory in the University of Colorado Boulder for the past year and a half. Not only have I been able to take my engineering abilities to the next level working with really cool hands on projects, but I also have worked with really smart and competitive people. My advisor has made possible the ongoing success of my Master Thesis giving me excellent directions"
"I have worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant for the University of Colorado Boulder for approximately a year. I have enjoyed my time immensely, but have decided to move on for personal reasons."
"I started working that Learning Resource Center in August of 2019. The position that I held there was a tutor for the mechanical engineering class. The overall experience that both the office staff and the other tutors gave was one of understanding and welcoming. It was easy to start a genuine conversation with everyone."
"I found my experience in this group somewhat unpleasant. My supervisor is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to technical questions, a great professor. Nonetheless, as an undergraduate student, I never quite felt his support nor interest in the project he initially gave me. Often felt confused by what I was told to do and the outcome expected. He tried to give me an opportunity to use my creativity but in the end he always had a better solution, even when sometimes his solution was extremely similar to my previous attempts. I, however, am very thankful for the opportunity he gave me. He clearly did not have time for me, but he gave me an opportunity anyway."
"The company provides the good retirement program and also the good benefit, all the colleagues are nice and easy to communicate with."
"The CU Buff Club is a great place to work. The team is very close and really cares about the well-being of the student-athletes they serve. They are always happy to help when a new employee has questions and makes everyone feel at home. Also, the work they do is very charitable. Most of the student-athletes would not be able to afford CU without the help of the CU Buff Club."
