"Interviewing with this company is a streamline process. They have a system in place that works quite well and easily weeds out individuals that do not have the experience and/or what it takes to work with their company. So, I would just suggest honesty and giving it your best."

What don't you like about working at Travelers?

"The management team consisted of several family members and they would only promote close friends and family members that worked beneath them and that they helped get their foot in the door at Travelers. The promotions weren't based on job performance and experience. That was a big concern for me."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that the management team pay close attention to job performance and experience rather than use favoritsm as a way of promoting employees."

"If division hadn't terminated, I would have recommended anyone without any hesitation."

"That they laid me off."

"I had lots of opportunities and did take advantage by attending various training seminars in order to become a more skilled/competent Claim Adjuster."

"Learn as much as you can about the company and decide if they're right for you."

"I cannot recall having anything significant that I did not like about working at Travelers. I left because,at the time, management was undergoing a transition (cut backs, loss of business) and I found a better opportunity elsewhere."

"I think Travelers has rebounded OK. I believe they are back in the Personal Lines business once again."

"Company hired new manager to replace a very competent over 60 regional manager, he then brought in all his own people from his company and they fired a huge gamut of people over 60 who were loyal and conscientious, working hard for them for many years."

"Nationwide comparisons of office production causes some to fudge on numbers, those of us who did not fudge were given the boot. Quality customer service, knowledge of the product, and workmanship was overlooked for production nos."

"Large case load, branch manager that kept employees in the dark and possessed small man syndrome. I worked for two different managers that were not computer saavy but always denounced their employees."

"Be fair and treat employees with respect. Be consistent when dealing with employees in the handling of their job and interaction with one another. Get rid of incompetent mangers such as Mike Brown and human resource prick, Reynolds."
