"It has discounts. However, they can improve the rate of pay also, the benefits need to be upgraded. Also, the time off is good."

"The advancement of people. The number of associates running into the store."

"The management must be knowledgeable about the store atmosphere and also encourage employees."

"I believe Target is now only promoting young white females based off their looks. If you are opinionated or actually have experience Target will not promote you. District 400 is hiring and promoting women who have been with the company less than a year and that is demeaning to women who know what they are doing and are not afraid to use their brains."

"Promote people based off performance, not age or sex. You have plenty of seasoned managers who should be promoted who are passed over because they do not fit the physical or age group that Target is trying to present. Young..."

"BEWARE. They will drain you of your life force."

"There is no 'work/life balance' despite this being a philosophy."

"Reduce the amount of employee turnover by actually taking care of your teams, not just talking about it."

"I would not want my worst enemy to end up working for this place."

What don't you like about working at Target?

"The place is toxic! Management style is to impose as much stress on employees as possible, and then expect them to accept it with a smile. Lunch breaks were frowned on, overtime is expected, loyalty by employees is not rewarded, just used as an excuse to dump even more stuff on them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Fire the VP of HR who sexually harasses both male employees and spouses of female employees. And for God's sake, get an office manager with some people skills!"
