"Learned a lot, but also feel like I wasted a lot of time doing mundane tasks. Just happy to have a good paying job in the computer technology field. Overall grateful for the position. The biggest complaint is I was laid off very suddenly. Would be nice to know it's coming, or possible, and also tell me what I can do to prevent that from happening to me, if possible. My life was suddenly sideswiped by my layoff. Traumatic experience indeed."

My senior management was removed which was a clue that big changes were coming. I strongly enjoyed the work and the work details still need to get performed. Symantec started into the appliance space taking on EMC, this is the area of the company to join. A number of my former peers have since left Symantec on there own after the lay-offs. HR must be a busy place."

They suffer from many of the same challenges as most major tech vendors (e.g., frequent management changes and difficultly driving a too-large catalog). But the middle/lower management layer is outstanding and the culture humane and inspiring. I'd happily return (again!)."
