"Great benefits and getting to work outside. Commissions are very helpful. New technology and ideas make it a fun place to work. Not paying all staff a good starting wage which makes it hard to keep people during a seasonal job and working in bad weather."
"I love connecting with people and help improve lives through fitness."
"I love being able to repair customer's equipment so they can get back to their jobs. I dislike that all customers do not take care of their equipment and sometimes the job is a lot messier than it should be."
"Hard part - Managing Ramp up & down of resources, manage conflicting prioritiesGood part - SLA driven support to meet customer expectations, Defined process & procedures, Good environment"
"Lack of site visits is one thing I hate. I love being able to teach and mentor new employees and customers."
"I enjoyed my position as service manager. Great position, with great control, but only if management allows it."
"Sometimes it was difficult to find a good tech. How I accomplish the task, is I looked for men or women that had solid troubleshooting skills."
"I have been a driver so I know how frustrating it is waiting for a service truck after a breakdown. Especially when you are paid by the load. I like being the one pulling up and being the guy with the know-how to get him or her safely back on the road ASAP. I was on-call 24/7 so there were some days when I worked on a truck or welded on a trailer for 50 hours straight."
"I love being in charge of myself. The daily routine needs to be more challenging to me."

"Grew HUGE sales and got pushed aside"
What do you like about working at Pep Boys Auto?
"Helping customers and actually getting them what they need not just something sold to them. I enjoy finding an actual solution not randomly guessing and hoping it solves the problem for them"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't expect the support you get in the beginning to last. They will grow bored and stop listening to you and start referring to you as a nuisance instead of their idealist"
What don't you like about working at Pep Boys Auto?
"Upper management makes lots of promises to correct or change problems yet they never do, and when you escalate it past the with documentation they throw you under a bus and watch you fail with NO support until you get fired on technicalities or walk"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to the managers asking for certain things on the store level. Like each customer is different each store and its requirements may vary and need something the others don't to support their volume"
