"Love the ability to research new businesses, help businesses increase their sales. Hate the paperwork and reports. I understand that management needs to forecast but so much pressure on forecasting weekly - wish focus was more on monthly forecasting not week to week."
"I love the independence, pay tied to success, and working with customers."
"I love the schedule and I hate the telecommunications."
"I like the fact that I can call on the whole state of Texas. This really opens up my potential opportunities. The thing that I like least is that we have way too much internal competition. Just in Austin we have around 40 reps on the sales floor along with inside sales and channel sales."
"I like the flexibility and ability to be my own boss and chase the deals that I know I have a chance to win. Nothing is pushed down to me to do that I don't want to do. If I had to list something I hate, is when the customer has every intention of funding the the project you've been working on for so long, and then at the 11th hour, the funding is re-allocated to another project, and you end up missing quota, and it has nothing to do with you , yet you are still responsible at the AM."
"Being able to run my own book of business."
"I've never hated anything, I find constructive ways to make the most and best out of any deal or transaction I'm working on."
"I love the client interaction.I hate when sales strategies and techniques are forced on me."
"I find that it took up a lot of my time and I did not have any personal time. The other side was I did love the people interaction and the money."
"Many of the customers are great to work with. But the Kofax sales management style is to flog the forecast, i.e. get the biggest possible deal today with little regard to customer needs."
"Love the responsibility and challenge, as well as the various departments working together for a common goal, but the travel grind and long sales cycle can become a negative if allowed to. While most sales executives have some independence and ability to control their own work schedule, maintaining a lifestyle balance is a constant challenge."
"The base pay at Ricoh was to low for senior experience sales reps. The base pay was only $28,000. Plus, commission per sale was very low. But, I enjoyed my several team mates. Ricoh turn overrate is 70%."

What don't you like about working at The Broadleaf Group?
"From a management perspective, the VP of Sales has no real world experience in the VAR space and has never managed people. He is rude, disrespectful and is terrible in front of clients. If you have an idea or disagree with his strategy he just talks over you and treats clients the same way."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Fire the current VP of Sales and hire someone with experience. He has a bad reputation in the market and is giving the company a bad rep as well."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"This company values discipline in most functions from marketing to accounting and most importnantly in underwriting."
What don't you like about working at ACE Group?
"The shortest amount of vacation time of any company that I am familiar with. In addition, there is a terrible bonus program that makes it difficult to reward individual or team successes due to its division level allocation practice."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make employees feel valued. I think the entire workforce below VP level fels like a cog in the machine to a greater degree than anywhere I've worked. In addition, review the HR / benefits policies as they compare to other companies. All things being equal, this is not helping you to attract and/or retain top talent."
