"Work hard, but get yelled at for the smallest thing because they don't understand what you do and technical details that were asked of you."

"I have worked with Semtech for about 2 years and it is a good experience. I worked a number of people such as Test Engineers, Lab technicians, and Software Engineers. They have flexible schedules, they take their job seriously but they try to keep morale up with office activities."

"I was only employed by Semtech for six months, but due to a company-wide lay off I was let go. During my six months there I really enjoyed my job, going to work, and being a part of Semtech mission. I really had a strong passion to do my best work there, and I was doing rather well, just an unfortunate situation that I was let go."

"Terrible Work/Life Balance, very poilitical."

What do you like about working at Semtech?

"The technology was pretty good, facilities were good, some of the people were good, but even the good ones were stressed out and paranoid because if you don't fall in line and drink the Kool-Aid, you are one step from being laid off."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are interviewing, as them last time they did a company-wide salary increase for salaried employees, and ask them how many weeks of vacation did they force in the current and/or prior year."

What don't you like about working at Semtech?

"No across the board salary increase for salaried employees in years. They make unreasonable budget goals, then force vacation to lower expenses, but do not cut the workload, so end up taking time off and working from home."
