"I liked helping passenger by answering their questions, problem solving, and talking to them. I liked working the night shift it was more laid-back but still had to keep trespassers out."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Please take the time to research company. Pay attention to their promises if they change be careful(They will take advantage of you). Find out about sites South Station is one of their worst sites there others."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Changing the culture by helping to motivate, encourage a more cooperative, positive team, and investigate sites officers are sent to. Some sites were degrading find some kind of solution to make it better. Encourage good leadership and training amongst the the security officers while offering incentives for good examples."
What do you like about working at SOS Security?
"Laid back work, everything was ok. The problem was the supervisor."

"If the person in the interview is in a good mood you made it!"
What don't you like about working at SOS Security?
"They change your days without notice, they can take away hours when ever they feel like it, They did not give me days off for my wedding!!!! I could not believe it when they told me I could not have days off for my wedding."

"Talk to the employees, ask them what they need make them think we care."

"The greatest part about working for this company was the interaction with under privileged youth, and helping them change their lives."

"The one main tip I would offer is make sure you have the ability to control your own actions, and think before you act."

"One of the worst downfalls about working for this company was how the center was managed."

"I have a great working relationship with boss and co-workers. The client was a good business and their personal were very professional."

"Be honest and ask a lot of questions about the postion and the client."

"Long sometimes long boring hours. Not a lot of job simulation."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"From my position, I think upper management did all it could with this client. But I have liked to see them be more aggressive finding other clients in the area."

"You can make great money at times but you don't have much control over whether you do or not."

"Have a game plan or an exit plan; you can do OK but it's not what anyone could call a well organized place that would make sense to invest a lot of time in."

"They force you to work overtime even when there is no work to do"

"Not that much, it's a hard industry to run. Feel bad for the commissioned cleaners who are not guaranteed a living wage."

"In Northern Virginia this is a great way to become an Armed Officer"

"Be prepared to talk about your past work history. They are pretty thorough."

"These gates are hard. It is tough to be nice to every person that drives by."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"It would be nice to wear short sleeve shirts in the summer. The long sleeve uniform looks nice but it does get hot."

"This is a very fair company. They have a very clear point based system for discipline and advancment."

"Be honest and don't BS them. They will take care of you if you honestly deserve it."

"I do get pulled in on weekends at times. But every time I get pulled in I get 2 positive points towards my record."

"Hire better. Not everyone is looking for the next best thing! We believe in you if you give us a chance."

"the job itself is not fulfilling and sometimes it seems redundant"

"try to match the candidates to the appropriate job site for them"

"its an excellent company but the pay was too small"

"Yes it is an excellent company and to interviiewers I will advice them to apply for the trasit TrI Rail patrol because they start you at 17 per hour."

"the pay was to small for my experience and if they send you to another post the pay is according to the post and it might be alot less."

"Management was very good as for as protocol and hierarchy."

"give more benefits to employees and better pay and more opportunities for advancement"

"The people, Any one of them would give you the shirt off their back to help anyone, there is a lot to be said for that."

"Do not put on heirs, the boss will see through you, he is a VERY good person, don't screw him over and you will see that side of him EVERY day."

"Quite simply, not enough hours, When the economy tanks, the first thing to go is extra services"

"None, management is great and prices competitively, they pay well. Steal clients from other security services"

"You have to be flexible. Tough to do with kids."

"The schedule changed too much, and was to hard to keep family schedule."

"Communication with employees is really important to just change there schedule with out any notice does not work."

"The level of responsibility the job demands. The site I am assigned to demands responsibility, team work, a professional work demeanor and excellent customer service skills."

"make sure you receive all the facts about the position you are going for. For Example, the pay, vacation days and hours worked."

"The pay is low. I feel I am not using all of my skills and education at my current position."

"I would have more contact with our employees at the various sites that we supply service to."
