"The only thing I did not like about Home Depot is they stopped giving employee bonuses."

"Unless your interveiwing for a full time management position, dont expect to make alot of money working for this company. Also expect to get not the greatest of hours."

"The hours and the pay is just not that great unless your a store manager or above."

"The management that I worked for in Maryville was nothing short of spectacular. He cared about his associates and didnt leave all the work on them. Out of five stars I would give Maryville managment ten stars."

"None--the management was great."

"The flexibility of work schedule. I like the fact that I work in the evenings which leaves my mornings and afternoons free."

"Keep your personal life separate from the workplace. It is possible that your personal business will be shared with everyone."

"Nothing is private or confidential, even when you go to management with a problem, somehow it always is transferred to other employees."

"I would get a new management team. I would make sure policy and procedures were being followed. Give the employees a class on following policy and procedures properly once a year so this information is fresh for each new year."

"It was a fun environment. I met a lot of cool people and got to watch Braves Games for free."

"Get in work hard, smile hard, be honest, and be prepared to work irregular hours."

"The pay was close to minimum wage so I would not see my self working there long term but it was good for a summer job."

"Pay something above minimum wage for the new guys and improve employee parking"

"I like when we're busy and I'm constantly working. I like problem solving and organizing."

"Be enthusiastic and always promote yourself as if your sole purpose in life is getting the member to be a life-long member!"

"Favoritism! At least in the club I work at. I'm not the only one who has noticed. Its so bad, I've consided transferring to a club further than the one I am currently at. I would like to see managers use their heads instead of reading from a guidebook."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would listen to the associates more. I would give people a chance even if they aren't qualified enough for a position. The associates are the ones who deal with members all day and they know more or less what people want. I wouldpay attention to my associates more when they say they're bored and not just give them busy work."

"Friendly co workers, I learned quickly about what needed to be taken care of, 6 hour work days, outside, working with plants, not overwhelming."

"Be yourself, make sure you have the knowledge to get by."

"Hot in the summer outside, some customers were pretty demanding."

"You have to be a people person as you work face to face with customers. There are times where multI tasking is a necessity as there can be alot going on & holidays are busy."

"Growing within the company & making a successful career of it did not seem obtainable"

"be more open to the opinions & suggestions of the employees working in delivery & on the sales floor."

"The ongoing training classes were informative and relevant, with great team-building exercises."

"I wouldn't bother unless you like to get paid very little, work very hard, and be treated like crap."
What don't you like about working at Nordstrom?
"I disliked ridiculous sales quotas to meet with no sales traffic to reach said goals, talking down to you like a toddler, and being reprimanded for other people's drama constantly. The manager always shifted blame from herself onto the other sales staff. There were ridiculous mood swings from the manager and assistant manager."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get rid of the egomaniac upper level management staff who doesn't know how to deal with staff below them."
