"I wasn't able to do real estate full time due to my other public school teaching responsibilities."

"Keep checking in on the new associates. It makes all the difference in knowing someone cares."

"Bring nicer people into the business. Try to not only focus on making money"

"I like talking to people and I like my co-workers at Sears."

"Be prepared to give up control of your time, especially for part-time."

"I don't like the demands put on employees to sell credit cards, send shopping recaps, and create store to home internet orders. I hate retail hours, and we need more than four day's notice of our ever-changing schedule."

"Give employees a set work schedule, and do more field studies before setting matrices."

"Filling in orders gave me something to do, as well as when there was a lot of customers to service on the cashier."

"You have to love hunting, fishing, and hardware as well as country music and long periods of solitude."

"Messy product, uninterested in product and environment. Drama and stress dealing with customers and fighting employees."

"Restructure the hardware store employees as well as add shifts."

"Worked alone on the night shift. Had plenty of time to get my worklist done."

"Come well groomed. The people that were hired when I was there, appeared to be hired based on availability and appearance not necessarily on experience or background."
What don't you like about working at Krist Oil?
"No benefits. No pay increases. No chance of promotion. Low starting pay and demeaning pay increases, if any. Family owned and the family disputes were not uncommon. If one brother entered the store, an incident report was required! Paid for hours scheduled, so don't show up early, and do not leave late."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To the owners: You get what you pay for...If you want quality employees with less turn over you need to invest in your sales associates and managers. Please consider that the pay is so low at store level it is not even an available option for this website!"

"Interacting with customers was mostly nice. However, like most retail positions, you have some exceptions."

"Research the company and make sure you understand how to be a salesman."

"RadioShack really only seems to be concerned about profits and nothing else."

"Try to find ways to keep associates motivated and educated about their products."

"It was difficult working every weekend, but in time you get used to it."

"take a look around at how many salespeople there are and how few are supporting them"

"Managers are always on top of EVERYONE all day long"

"allow more flextime and not babysit workers so much daily"

"I liked how it didn't feel like work. You got to talk to people all day. And you could talk to your co-workers when it was slow."

"Be excited. They want people who are very friendly and personable. They want people who can strike up a conversation with anyone and be excited about selling, but not too domineering."
What don't you like about working at Soma Intimates?
"The pay is pretty low. And the awkwardness of gathering personal information from people when they shop and calling them at home to try and set up appointments for people to come shop. It is intrusive and it is an awkward promotional tactic."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would use different marketing tactics. Less intursive techniques. More print and tv ads and maybe some women's benefit events. Like since we sell bras, do like breast cancer awareness events. Less, email and calling people at home."

"They should have a sales experience, and try to speak more than one language."

"The work seems interesting if we have customers coming into the store."

"I think they should provide somethings that will provide more traffic in the store."

"Make sure that you are good with people and enjoy talking and interacting with others. Show and explain this is your interview."

"The levels of competition were not good at Finish Line. Rather than working together many people felt like they had to battle one another."

"I would have better incentitves for my employees and teach them to be more handson."

"Not enough money to be made. As I am still young, I would like to move onto making a better living for myself."
