"Love the discount, meeting people from all over the world, ability to dress a person(s) for a special day in their lives. Dislike the lack of respect clients have for your professionalism and knowledge because of the perceived "better" deal/service of internet shopping."
"It is not a technology position, therefore I desire a position in technology."
"I like the commission structure."
"Throughout the whole entire time that I worked there I loved it, however like I previously said they need to completely work on their management staff. Although I no longer work there I am still friends with my ex-coworkers."
"The simple thing is I get to help people with the one thing I love and that is technology. So if you block out all the corporate nonsense and focus on that it was a blast!"
"I honestly do not hate anything about IT.. It brings me job to go to work everyday to help people. I feel like I'm being part of a movement."
"I enjoyed the people I worked with. It was a friendly and fun atmosphere and I actually enjoyed going into work each morning. I felt the leadership team was great as well. However, after being there for so many years, I felt I was not able to reach my full potential because of the lack of challenge, and there was no room for advancement in the company."
"If I was more compensated for the work that I do it would be better. The people that live around this area are really just grumpy farmers. These grumpy farmers, while being pretty interesting to work with are pretty ridiculous. Who in their right mind comes into a market place like Sears or Walmart and tries to haggle. It doesn't work that way and even a child with a 3rd grade education realizes this."
"I personally love working with people and matching them up with the things they need, but the days of good customer service are quickly dying out and a new age of technological advancement is here."
"It is a fun job where you don't sit still for long."
"I found it very easy being a sales associate because I am an outgoing person and it was easy helping the customers and getting to know what they wanted to purchase."
"Each employee that is over the age of 18 can use the slicer. The store I worked at has a relatively new slicer. In May of this year I noticed that the blade guard was coming lose, so I let a manager know. A few weeks later while I'm slicing, the blade guard falls off. I then stopped what I was doing and called a manager over. They said they would get it fixed. Before I left in September the blade guard was still not fixed."
"I enjoy learning something new each day and use that information for future sales."
"Being in sales is a hard job no matter what it is your selling. Especially in a commission based job like i had. There were extremely long hours, missed holidays, dead ends where you had to start for scratch every month and nothing was guaranteed, and you have to work the main hours that everyone outside of retail sales is off. But the positives of working in sales are being able to control your own success, the thrill of closing a sell, making incentives, pushing yourself to meet goals, applying yourself mentally, meeting new people, and providing a service that helps someone's specific need."
