"There was always something to do, and nearly always someone was willing to teach you to do more than was required as long as you showed the drive and could keep up"

"Please be in half way decent physical condition, lots of bending, lifting and twisting. you also need to be accurate in your tasks- so pay attention!"

What don't you like about working at RR Donnelley?

"The shifts where 12 hours, and rotated 6a-6p and 6p-6a every two weeks. The shift times where fine it was the rapid switching that threw my body and sleep system off."

"Dont be affraid to give atta boys more often, sometimes it all us little people need"

What don't you like about working at RR Donnelley?

"I don't like how nobody takes responsibility for what is their issue and how I am supposed to be on call 24/7"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't just cave into the customer. Listen to the programmers, they actually know what they are talking about. Also, don't tell somebody that their hours are 9-5 then, tell them they are supposed to on call 24/7"

"Its a tough job but the rewards are worth it in the end."

"I was straight commission and grew my accounts so much that they took them to become 'house accounts' and had me start over from the bottom."

"If a person exceeds at their job, promote that and don't take their accounts away from them."

"The breadth of the job, being able to work on many different systems and projects"

"The corporate politics that would limit or stop initiatives before they were completed"

"Better communications with the managers and workers not at corporate headquarters"

"The great people and clients. Also the intergrated service models"

"Know what the job offering is and talk about how you would fit in and add to the service offwering"

"Reorganization of my platform cost me my job. The trend is away from client, staff and then company."

"I would focus on solutions and not just capabilities when meeting with prospective clients"

"I sold paper on the phone. We did not meet with customers face to face."

"The people I worked with were wonderful. The atmosphere was friendly"

"It is very hard to sell paper over the phone to companies."

"To make the job where you can go out to meet people face to face."

"I work by myself but that's about it. This place needs to change."

"Look elsewhere. Seriously. You are not rewarded at all for the hard work you put in here."

"The wages here are ridiculous. The management does not make any changes ever."

"Listen to your employees more. They are a huge part of your success."

"Utilize the knowledge or your employees better. Learn to take advice from your people."

"Flexible hours and great people to work with. Plenty of work to fill your day."

"Bosses in Utah are very friendly and fair to work with."

"No chance for a salary increase, and benefits are basically zero. You have to cough up $8000 a year yourself to get any decent coverage for your family."

"Don't restrict the compensation and benefits of your employees as this is hard on their out-of-pocket budgets."
