"The company prior to chapter 11 allowed extensive freedom to operate the Region. Enjoyed the monthly Reginoal manager meetings where ideas, results and goals were discussed."

"Do your homework"
What don't you like about working at Heartland Automotive?
"Lack of integrity in the operation of stores where it came to sales techniques. Employees were highly compensated for sales results while knowing the methods used were dishonest. An example was selling services then not doing the services, charging the customer anyway and receiving bonus for the sale."

"Work on changing the culture of the company. Focus on Customer service and Integrity to build customer base."

"Trying to convence a mulit million dollar business man that he has been doing business wrong and I had the solution to a problem that he was unaware of."

"If you want a high stress position with a company who is bleeding to death. This job is perfect for you!"

"The lack of integrity of the new leadership and owners."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The person who recently took over operations for the company has very little integrity or business sense. Unfortunately this new leadership choice is ruining company morale, leading by instilling fear, poor communicator, making poor choices for the stores which is resulting is poor sales performance. The stores are in much worse shape than before and the company will not survive. The operations leader has completely misled the new owners and will lead the company into closing down."

"The products were first rate, and management was open to my thoughts on growing the business. The stock options paid off nicely."

"I did not accept Berkeley's counter offer when I was recruited by General Motors. Even though their counter offer was more than my new offer, I committed to the new firm. Berkeley could have retained me if they had given me a raise before I accepted the recruiters call."

"Berkeley was purchased by Moog Controls. Management retired."
