Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Indianapolis is a great place to work if you are a recent graduate, a woman, or a minority. Job security is based on quotas. Just count the number of white men and black women who leave the company. Review adjudicative guidelines annually. If you get on the wrong project, truth in charging will be a joke. Managers say that you have to work without compensation, but later deny it. In a bad economy, employees will work the unpaid overtime they are asked to do. The timecard manager just looks the other way. Older employees claim that overhirings at colleges, before new contracts have been awarded, always leads to disaster."
What don't you like about working at Raytheon?
"Managers give up on root cause analysis and resort to blaming. If you are blamed for a problem, but don't immediately snitch on a coworker, you become a scapegoat. Gullible new hires snitch on older workers, thinking it will never happen to them. Employees with a personal grudge against you anonymously enter negative comments in your performance review, with no accountability. People will lie about you to further their careers. Management makes promises to motivate you, with no intention of keeping them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I overheard management saying they value employees with a large amount of debt. If it's important to be financially overextended, then this should be advertised. When you rigidly enforce processes for the sake of process and someone tells you that it's hurting productivity, they are not being insubordinate. Review Raytheon values and start being accountable for your teams."
