"I worked for the company for a year and I have experienced some kind of discrimination in the store I was at. Most of the employees were of Middle Eastern descent and there were about 3 African Americans working there. When I started, they treated me different from other new sales associates. Instead of teaching me how to use the register right away, they kept making me do tasks that men should do, such as cleaning up the garbage, cutting down boxes, sending me to get coffee and donuts for everyone and even made me carry a very heavy vacuum cleaner to another nearby RadioShack. This is the worst company I ever worked at because they never taught me anything and they made me feel very uncomfortable. I was too scared to say something then but I'm not holding my tongue anymore."
"Not a terrible position, to be quite honest, but I would not recommend it to anyone, seeing as Radio Shack currently has one foot in the grave. The company is going under, and there are much better places to work than Radio Shack."
"Loved the job but the company is selfish and only cares about the people up top in the corporation."
"Huge breakdown of communication from upper management to the store management level. Not a team win environment, a bunch of old dogs, refusing to learn and adapt to the changes they are faced with... very unfortunate, because I love doing what I do. Just seems like no one cares about the success I've had."
"5/5 stars. RadioShack is stronger than ever."
"RadioShack is a company on a steep and slippery slope on its way out."
"Amazing place! Recommend it to anyone and everyone."
"Great experience with other employees, but management can be very uptight about numbers, and customers have a habit of being rude, especially when they know nothing about what they came in for and want to argue about the subject / product."
"Radioshack is a fast paced work environment where your coworkers help keep you on your toes as you deal with very unique customers."
"I've worked for Radio Shack for over a year now. The time spent there has been horrible. The management there does not treat its employees with any sort of respect. I wouldn't recommend this job to my worst enemy."
"Radioshack is a good company for someone who is looking to become a store manager. I would recommend it to someone who enjoys the art of retail, or someone who would like to work with the public."
"Too many hours, high fatigue. Poor customer interaction culture."
"Radio Shack is a great company to work for if you want to get a good head start on Tech Sales.I've learned a lot when it comes to cell phone sales at which I would know right away what provider the customer wants and know what would fit them perfectly."
"I've worked for RadioShack for 14 months now. Despite being plagued with constant pay rate and uniform changes, I've come to enjoy the position. I like speaking with people, so getting to see new faces often is a plus. The company also has decent benefits, ranging from phone bill discounts to dental and medical benefits. Overall, I'd give the company a B on a letter grade scale."
"Nice company and workplace."
