"My immediate boss Jason. He was very helpful and the only one I could trust."

"Be ready for a lot of politics. If you can play the politics game, you're good."
What don't you like about working at Rank Giant?
"The environment. Too snake-in-the-grass type of selling. Get the money in the door, then figure out how to service client. NOT my kind of environment."

"Listen to employees more, trust them more, and give them more responsibility."

"The company atmosphere as well as the product that was being created was new technology and fast paced in the commercial market"

"what was difficult was not having the boss sitting next to you and was 3000 miles away and a different time zone. Had to work long hours to compensate for the time difference"

"at this point suggestions are mute do to the fact that the company has now clsoed its doors"

"A great place with great people, but it is frenetic ."
What do you like about working at Composite Technology?
"It is a top-notch Aerospace company with class operating procedures and ethic. I feel comfortable working in this professional, focused environment."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It's a fast paced environment, with lots of overtime. You might consider requesting additional compensation for the extra hours you are almost certainly going to be working as a Manager. Be prepared to nudge management into justifying the monthly production quotas that are imposed from corporate."
What don't you like about working at Composite Technology?
"Production schedules are extremely burdensome and almost impossible to attain without lots of overtime and weekend work. This negatively impacts employee morale and quality, which can be a struggle to control."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Try to justify the production quotas more meaningfully, based upon the non-unionized manpower loading, young employee skill set and equipment capability in Texas, and less on previously attained production levels in the old unionized Connecticut facility with experienced manpower and Engineering authority allowing short-cuts and hidden efficiencies in production methods. It's not apples and apples. We need a more even playing field to work on, to make the work environment less frenetic."

"Get educated in current hiring trends and techniques. Look more to experience than to education."

"I like the culture. It's very mature, professional, collaborative, and lifestyle-friendly."

"Emphasize ability to make decisions independently, but with diligence to keep management abreast and represented by your decision (no hogging credit to yourself). They also consider policies holy and don't tolerate cowboys."

"I dislike being a contractor. As a contractor, there is a limit in the length of service (18 months), and the growth or lateral movement opportunities are presented to the FTEs first."

"Provide an exception rule for the exceptional contractors to enable the company to retain and harvest the great talents passing through."

"It is job security, challenging, and pays well for any officer."

"The Army is a very high demanding career but it can also be the most rewarding."
