"The thing I love the most about my job is the same thing that is most difficult to deal with. Inventory/Production planning is challenging in that it is constantly changing due to many uncontrollable factors. I enjoy the challenge of forecasting, meeting deadlines, budgets and readjustment but this however is the very thing that can be very stressful and demanding when timing is not on your side."
"I enjoy dealing with the people but am not challenged intellectually by my position."
"What I loved most about where I work was the people I worked with. Over the years I've had the privilege of working with some very smart, and dynamic people. Their creativity and drive was amazing. All that said, The pace and lack of executive management made the job far more difficult then it needed to be."

What do you like about working at Atlantic Aviation?
"On the whole, a fantastic experience, involving a fast paced and dynamic work environment. Being out of doors, and interacting with a wide variety of people from all over the country (indeed, from all over the world) is one of main draws. Job satisfaction can be derived from personal interactions with crew and passengers, and from daily challenges involved in coordinating the schedules of dozens of aircraft on a daily basis. Upward mobility is available for employees who display the necessary acumen and put forth the requisite effort."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Essentially, with the low standards set by this company, any high school drop out will be granted an interview. However, excessive grooming standards must be adhered to, and, in certain markets, minorities need not apply."
What don't you like about working at Atlantic Aviation?
"Murky policies from top management create divisiveness on a local level at any particular base. Divergent priorities between departments develop as a result of the company attempting to maximize profit while simultaneously adhering to rigorous environmental and workplace safety standards. General workers and middle management are obsessively coached on maintaining these standards, while at the same time being pressured to violate these standards any time it is deemed necessary. For such a large company, health benefits surprisingly became subject to seemingly arbitrary cuts. It's difficult to imagine a person supporting a family of three being able to make the necessary adjustments when his or her health care premiums increase by 20%. There is an institutional program devoted to upward mobility at this company, but it is flawed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The individuals you entrust to work in close proximity to multi-million dollar machines can not be marginalized in pursuit of corporate profits. These individuals have years (sometimes decades!) of knowledge that is often invaluable in terms of customer satisfaction. $12/hr and diminishing returns on health care is not a realistic way to cultivate a knowledgeable and motivated workforce. The system used to educate lower level employees for entrance into middle management jobs needs extensive oversight that does not exist at this time."
