"I was with this company for 3 years. I've had good managers and HORRIFIC managers. They do not care at all if you have any type of education.they actually look down on it. I cannot say that I ever enjoyed it. If you like fake people, having managers talk down to you and have them critique what your hair looks like (I can't make this up) and you enjoy kissing up an obscene amount just to try to get ahead, then maybe this place is for you."

I was told that Nordstrom was investing in the web heavily, and so left my old workplace to take a chance on this organization.Let me tell you, big mistake. They have no plans, and do not listen to their front line employees. It's all about who you know, and not what value you bring. The leadership is out of touch with how things are done and more interested in being yes men to the product management group, that they overlook the main issues that are affecting them not being able to deliver things to the website. Do NOT work for the IT organization. It isn't worth your time and headaches."

"Keep your team inspired! Motivated employees have a lot more chance of enjoying their work and finishing projects, compared to unmotivated teams."

"When trying to work your way up (or down) from the floor, you can get the feeling that there's some politics. And, you better know someone in the corporate area, because it's a challenge to get off the floor."

"I love my manager. If you tell her what your goals are and where you want to go, she'll help you out as much as she can. I feel like most managers are the same here, but I have heard of a few managers that can really drop the ball."
