"Constantly booted off of the in-house wireless network when trying to perform engineering tasks. Managers who have head-up-the-ass attitude toward getting things done. No decent training, sink or swim environment. As a contractor, pay really sucks... the worst! If you're trying to support a family, forget it."

"Bring back the good 'ole days."

"The culture, the history of the company is the shaping of our world through communications technology, the excitement around the product portfolios, the apparent change as new leaders with creative ideas aimed to shift the historically conservative mix and overall the evolution of the products. It was amazing to see how concepts turned into prototypes and then ended up in the hands of the consumer."

What don't you like about working at Motorola Solutions?

"Motorola had been an industry leader since inception in the late 1920's and unfortunately for them, new competitors entered the marketplace and shifted the paradigm of what it meant to compete in the mobile business. With rapidly evolving market dynamics, it's important for companies to understand this as a great benefit and a real threat against the old way of doing things. I would've liked to have seen Motorola evolve in a way similar to the technology they sell."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't fear chance, consider everything as something, listen to the people on the ground and constantly communicate with all levels of the organization."

"Very up to date and changing with the times."

"It is a high growth company with little focus on creating a balanced work life for the employees. You need to be prepared for long hours in the work day but it is well worth it."
