"Micron lags dramatically on diversity. Culture change is promoted, but it takes a long time to see any change."

"I have worked for Micron Since Feb. 2019 as a Consultant for its Next Gen SoC. Since then, I've enjoyed the work environment, culture and everyday discussions with some of the bright and open-minded engineers. I learned a lot and applied those skills during my work"

"I worked for Micron for 20 years. It was a rewarding job. Over time, however, the culture changed within Micron and it is no longer one that promotes growth for its employees."

"I've worked for Micron for 10 years. At times it has been a good experience. However there is certainly a "good ole boy" network there. It is nearly impossible to move up or have any effect on your earning potential unless you play politics. The company does a good job at trying to take care of their employees, but sometimes it feels like golden handcuffs. Paid just enough that you cannot afford to leave."

"Micron is a great place to work. Just wish the non-management jobs were considered important and the people treated a little better. In recent years, Micron has become all about pleasing the shareholders. Unfortunately, management doesn't realize that taking care of employees is the best way to please the shareholders. There's a lot to be gained by taking care of the people who actually do the work."

"Micron is a great place to work for the most part. Every place has its perks and problems, but in recent years the number of problems here has increased. Upper management is mostly focused on the shareholders, and the workers are left feeling unimportant."

Senior Technician
in Manassas, VA

"I worked for Micron from 2010 to 2013. In that time I made senior technician and was eligible for management positions. However, in just 3 years I survived 3 rounds of layoffs. On the 4th round it was finally my turn. It's a great job if you have tenure, meaning in the same position forever. However, if you are motivated to advance, you will sooner than later be last on the totem pole for a layoff. Money and training are awesome. Great work environment... but semiconductor is very hard of its workforce."
