"team efficiency needs more attention, duties are not always meet and left for the following shift to take care of."

"Make sure you'll be able to afford working here. I enjoy the work but 9.00 an hour is not sufficient enough to make a living!"

"Get rid of the people that aren't doing their job, have employee meetings to discuss the store and how things need to be done and so forth."

"If you're just trying to get a part time minimum wage job they'll hire anyone. If you want anything more - don't go."

"Micromanagement. Endless corporate directives dictating how we need to do things even though we already know the best way and the way we're being told is terrible and roundabout. Never the right supplies. Claim customer focus but then make us do ridiculous things like label the breakroom microwave with a sticker saying 'microwave' (no joke) rather than be out there doing our jobs. Treats its employees like garbage."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get organized. The lack of organization with the sales and promotions, weekly ad, store meetings, etc is astounding. We get a directive that a sale is changing so we change it, then get an email saying change it back, wait no it was right the first time."

"Its the leading Arts&Crafts store. The work culture & environment is growth-oriented and offers many opportunities for its employees to learn new technologies/systems. It encourages & supports new ideas. Follows good ethical standards."

"Just like with any other company/interview, be honest about yourself, your work, etc. Dont be afraid to present your ideas or share thoughts when asked for, and ofcourse be nice and polite."

"Honestly, there is nothing that I really do not like about this company."

"This is one of the BEST places I've ever worked. In fact, Michaels was rated among the Top10 places to work in a survey by a leading organization. And the credit, of course, goes to the management/executives."

"I get paid okay and the hours are fairly short."

"Imply you have no life aside from working and you're pretty much in."

"Not enough work hours to go around. The Customers are often butt-holes."
