What do you like about working at MCI?

"I liked the company culture and the constant employee trainings and development courses and workshops. Employees were the company's primary focus, along with customer satisfaction. Everyone at MCI was proud to work there and were for the most part stockholders."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Since my departure from WorldCom in 2002, the company name has again changed to Verizon Business. There was a brief attempt to change WorldCom back to MCI. With this being said, I do not know the Verizon business model or culture."

What don't you like about working at MCI?

"When WorldCom gained control."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Know your strengths, have faith in your people and their abilities as well as protect your assets."

"The actual first company was Syncordia, merged to Concert, then picked up by MCI and my position was ultimately outsourced. It was fun while it lasted."

What do you like about working at MCI?

"I enjoyed the flexibility, the games and motivation the managers (myself) were able to create to keep the reps motivated."

"The company has since closed in this area."

"Sometime the clients did not understand their service plans and they call in irate."

"The service was very bad, people and companies were complaining constantly with great vigor. Head executives and others broke the law and wireless division ended abruptly."

"Upper manager did not care about employees and laid off a lot."

"The company offered great and convenient location, first class facilities, great working tools and management support, on-site cafeteria and gym. Great compensation plan, bonuses and recognition."

"Just to procure true statements about the finances and stability of the company; MCI is a large corporation and responsible for most of the Federal Government security in communications worldwide; so I know is hear to stay; but with the advance technology could be easily overcome by a power such as AT&T."

"The instability at the time and felt cheated by upper management, since one day they make us believe everything was OK and next day more than 9,000 employees were laid off."

"Until the demise with WorldCom, it was a wonderful place to work and the growth was fantastic. New services and ongoing education was incredible."
