"Change in Management"
What do you like about working at Kyocera?
"I had never worked in the cell phone industry. I learned quite a bit and also huge Bill of Materials. There were great people."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Kyocera is not a stable company. They had layoffs every month."
What don't you like about working at Kyocera?
"Kyocera Wirless had major problems with suppliers and vendors which hindered the production of cell phones. This lead to major layoffs."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest they find a new finished good vendor. They used the same venodr as all other major cell phone compnaies. However, our forecast ws often many units smaller. Therefore, w were always pushed out of the production line based on our vendors other customers."

"ASC is working on its image and professional environment."
What do you like about working at Air Systems Components?
"ASC realized it needed to improve and was open to changes. There were very little limitations (except financial) on how or where you could implement ideas."
What don't you like about working at Air Systems Components?
"ASC Corp office was still mired in traditional operatives. Instead of supporting the mfg plants, the plants were treated as their underlings / inferiors, especially the border ops."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"More communication with & within senior staff; less petty & punitive directives by plant staff; more employee empowerment and sincere recognition of individual efforts. Do not overwhelm staff - balance - if company goals are met by 150%, ease off. Staff should be managed, not driven."

"Sabbatical program - now gone. Great Line card."

"Pay plans sometimes change like the underwear of the day."

"It was a great experience because it enhanced my background in various areas such a purchasing MRO/MRP, inventory control, warehousing and production control."

"Explain clearly about your experience and skills."

"About the job tasks and relationship was very good partnership, but unfortunately the company went down in sales, therefore they closed operations and laid off personnel."

"Must be proactive, always have a goal, identify priorities, take advantage of the skills from others and make a team, be a leader and have full acknowledgement about all the daily activities and issues in my areas of responsibility to follow up and to take the best decisions. Provide necessary training to my subordinates and make sure the rest of the team is trained. Organization, analytical, understanding of policies and safety rules. Be on time."

"Some very devoted people, outgoing, concerned and easy to work with. Self satisfaction levels with work accomplishments were very high."

"Be wary of policy changes/reversals and document, document, document."

"Frustration with some poorly defined or varying goals."

"Eliminate the inconsistencies caused by internal politics and cronyism."

"It was close to my residence. Other than that there was nothing I liked about working there."

"Don't interview with Montefiore. It's a horrible place to work and bring your talents elsewhere."
What don't you like about working at Montefiore Medical Center?
"It is a very unprofessional, hostile work environment that has no room for growth. The benefits package was disappointing and there's no real compensation for time and labor. I would never recommend anyone who is looking for a career in healthcare to apply for any positions Montefiore might have available."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Revamp the senior and mid-level management. Get rid of non-motivating, cancerous managers, director and Vice Presidents and bring in professionals with vision and compassion for patients and employees."
