"Great place to work. Amazing environment."
"I worked for LLNL during the summer of 2019 as an intern, and I greatly enjoyed the opportunity I had to learn about FPGA development and make an impact in a supportive environment."
"I've worked for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for 2.5 years. It provides an amazing opportunity to work with incredibly smart people from a diverse set of backgrounds. The salary is competitive for academia but not with nearby Silicon Valley. Despite this, I was incredibly happy here the entire time."
"Great place to work, with excellent work-life balance, cool science, and a strong and worthwhile mission."
"I would recommend a job at LLNL for a entry level engineer, however the company is very dated. The age distribution is tilted to older which can be seen in the lack of creativity in projects and design execution."
"I've interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for four summers. It is a great place to work, the team dynamics and the work that we get to do is all amazing. I definitely would recommend, it's a great place to work."
"Good company to work. I am a contractor but its good place for full time. While at LLNL I gained knowledge about gov work security."
"LLNL is a strong and exciting company with plenty of opportunities to work on a wide variety of interesting projects. The people at the company are hard working, honest, and reliable. The stress factor is relatively low and the work life balance is very good."
"Great place to work. I highly recommend people to take a shot and try to apply. It will be a great expierence and you woill make ever lasting bonds with the friends you make."
"Not a bad place to work but there is no retirement package, not much of an incentive to stay if you are young."
"I enjoyed my experience there."
"I have been working at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since 2009, as a summer intern and a postdoctoral researcher. This lab is an ideal place for people who seek research-oriented jobs, having a great opportunity for high performance computing."
"LLNL is strapped down by a mass of middle management who are very overpaid, very under-qualified, and have set up a monopoly which keeps IT from progressing."
"One of the best jobs, of my life. I was brought on board for a 6 month contract position that ended up lasting 10 years. Very demanding atmosphere, 24/7/364, not for everyone environment. My time was effective, efficient, and the best. Great cutting edge technology, wealth on knowledge. I have my place in the science journals from the project I was attached to. I just wish I have gotten a degree while attached to the project. It would have been easier to find a job after the project was over. :-(."
"I feel like it could have been a great place to work or call home in the long term, but with the government budget cuts and all the layoffs, it started off as a great thing that became a very scary place to work because no one knew if they would be gone or not.I would most definitely work there again if given the opportunity, but the economy in government npo work is very scary!"
