"Lawrence Livermore Nat'l lab is a dynamic place to work. Being surrounded and exposed to out of the box thinkers and extremely gifted people in the scientific and engineering community. "Think: 'Navy'. Many managers are former Navy officers and they are more agreeable to hearing about Navy porcesses"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get rid of the 'Navy Captain' mentality: ...my way or no way. Middle mgt sometimes fails to accept observations/suggestions from the people in the trenches."
"It was difficult for me, as the Lab does not operate like a corporation."
