What don't you like about working at Kaiser Permanente?
"Disability Discrimination - I worked hard for Kaiser since 2001 - I had a very good evaluation when I was well. But after my illness, they (managers) just made a lot of discriminatory practices. For example, my manager knew my desire to go back to work after a Kaiser doctor release to go back to work, yet my manager hired somebody else. Another example, a Kaiser manager from Antioch asked me while going to the conference room for interview, are you going to be like this for the rest of your life?"

"Tell them you have friends inside the company. They love that."
What don't you like about working at Kaiser Permanente?
"Kaiser is filled with relatives and friends (nepotism), so they sort of protect each other. I was let go because I asked someone to keep it down while he was talking about his muscles. He was in my cubicle area and I have so many deadlines to meet. Then there was another woman who kept asking for the same paycheck that I have just because she thinks she's worth it. And when she can't have it, she just kept sniping at me. No one even stopped her because she's good friends with some manager. There are people who roam around the office to talk because they are friends with managers. A marketing assistant told me that before he got his regular job, he had to bring food to his boss everyday. JUST PLAIN UNPROFESSIONAL."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I think management lets this happen because they don't care about the money. After all, the fund comes from the people who buy healthcare, overpriced of course. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE SO this practice would go away. SO I don't have suggestions for management. I don't think they will change anything because like I said, they cover each other's backs. so why they should rock the boat?"
