"It remains challenging, which can be good and bad depending on the day."

"I enjoy the work and the intellectual aspect of the job along with troubleshooting and problem solving, although the one aspect of the job that I do not care for are the people. There are good people, there are bad people and then there are nightmares. Obviously the good people make the job worth it, and they don't need to know anything about computers, just good people to be able to support, the bad people are the ones that continually have problems and usually they are the same problems and they tend to blame other people than themselves. The nightmares are the ones who flip out over computer problems and blame you for problems they themselves have created."

"I love to help people do their jobs better. I hate conducting recovery drills! Recovery drills are important for business continuity, making sure the backups are restartable, measuring the time to recover, documenting the steps that help you during pressure, but all the hard work is not as visible and recognizable as problem solving. :)"

"I love the logical and emotionally detached aspects of IT in general. I hate the social reality that invariably interferes with ideal design and project execution. These issues include scope creep, corporate politics and interdepartmental blow-back."

I hate how long it took to get the access to the programs I needed to do my job. The process was long and the employees weren't helpful with sending you to the right teams to get the access."
