"I love the people I work with, as well as the work/life balance Deere offers its employees. It is unlike any other IT shop I've worked at."

"You will love the work life balance, however, if you plan to work outside of Des Moines or Moline, your opportunities for management will be very slim."
What don't you like about working at John Deere?
"There aren't any opportunities to advance outside of Moline or Des Moines. Also, once an employee reaches the Deere imposed compensation cap for his/her respective position, that employee will no longer receive a raise."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Change the compensation structure and allow managers to give raises or additional (reasonable) compensation based on work done, not some imposed or implied compensation cap. Loosen up restrictions and allow for more management opportunities outside of Des Moines or Moline."
