"The company provides a great service to Higher Education, and the employees are genuinely nice."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you're looking for growth opportunity or a place where management works with you to develop your skills, then don't bother. If you're looking for a steady 9-5 and a paycheck every two weeks, go for it!"

What don't you like about working at National Student Clearinghouse?

"Senior level management turns a blind eye to everything. The COO, CEO and Board of Directors live in a fantasy land when it comes to employee morale. The COO is power hungry and will do anything it takes to get what she wants, regardless of the impact on the employees. The Board of Directors should be ashamed of senior management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Let some of your mid-level to non-management employees have a voice. Genuinely act like you are concerned for your employees rather than just having a biased survey and throwing money/food at your employees. It is 2012, Your employees want the ability to learn/develop their skills. They want access to new ideas and products. They want to be involved. They do not want to worry about who is looking over their shoulder. Your archaic management practices need to go."

"Treat the employees better and care about the individuals that we serve, which is the whole mission statement of the company. The company is only concerned with making money and does not care about anything else. If they just treated the employees better and tried to fight for the rights of the individuals, we would be making money and not losing clients."

"The people you work with are very resourcefula and are always willing to share their knowledge with you and to assist in anyway that they can."

"Definitely do your research on the company and be sure that you are a perfect fit. Colgate is a great company, but you put in long hours and that might not work for someone who is coming from a company that has flexible work hours."

What don't you like about working at Colgate-Palmolive?

"The corporate environment. Most employees look forward to casual Fridays and wish that this could be the standard work code."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To re-evaluate the entire work evironment. While Colgate has been successful for the past 200 years, we are a younger company and should try to adapt to the needs of the curent environment. They should also encourage work life balance."
