What do you like about working at Hewlett-Packard?

"Hewlett-Packard is rich in resources. Anything you would need (money, people, tools, data) to win in the market is available at your fingertips. You need to understand how to pitch your ideas the right way and to the right people, and if you understand that you will have the resources needed to execute."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Standards of business conduct, ethics and our core values are of the utmost importance. HP's product management is more of a business position than it is a technical role. An MBA and firm understanding of business and finance will go a lot further than having a technical acumen."

What don't you like about working at Hewlett-Packard?

"As with many large companies, there are many career HP folks, people who have been there for 15-20 years. They tend to be slow, do not think outside the box, and often senior enough and well-networked that you need to convince them on everything you do. These folks are not always easy to convince because they see the world in terms of the HP Way and generally cannot see beyond our own internal processes."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Bring leaders in from outside, use those leaders to challenge current thinking and to drive innovation through to the ground floor."

"Great working environment and learning opportunity. Development programs through all the hierarchy."

"The people are generally very bright. Flexible work hours and location. Very international company."

"Like for any interview, it depends who you get for an interviewer. However, do your homework on the interviewer and be able to speak at the same level as him/her."

What don't you like about working at Hewlett-Packard?

"Very bureaucratic."
