"I've worked for HostGator since May of 2012. I started in Tech Support, then moved to Sales, then became the Web Production Team Manager, which is basically the manager of the Design team that is handling customers' websites. I am not currently happy at all with my compensation in this role."

As a new employee, the company offers competitive starting salaries, provides free lunches, and offers many daily food themes and provides occasional company outings. However, there is little communication between management and supervisors, and there is little opportunity to advance within the company. Also, shortly after I left, the company was sold."

"Great place to work, but it can be pretty stressful. If you don't have ways to deal with upset customers, it can get pretty frustrating. One thing to keep in mind, if you lose your cool, the situation will only get worse.The perks are pretty good though. The leadership knows this job is stressful, and they try to provide perks to make up for it."

"Unfortunately, Hostgator management doesn't seem to respect the thoughts of their employees or clients. Also, there are a few nice, friendly and smart supervisors but the majority have a power complex. The whole building was falling apart, including the chairs you had to sit in. Just wish they had better management."

"HostGator is one of the first jobs I ever had where, if I didn't absolutely enjoy the thought of going to work every day, I at least did not dread it. However, as much as I love the company and the people who work there, they have some serious issues they need to take care of in terms of infrastructure and management. I sincerely hope they continue to improve as they have for a number of years now and become the excellent company they should be."
