"I enjoy helping the customers that call in from around the world. I did have to learn that a customer calls in upset because they are frustrated, not because they are mad with me. As long as I can take away the frustration, and help them understand, I have done my job and the consumer can enjoy their product."

What do you like about working at Hypertherm?

"Very laid back environment with very understanding people. The mentality at Hypertherm is truly that family comes first, and work comes second."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Try to become acquainted with Hypertherm's culture before or during the application process. It is a great place to work, and hiring managers love to see that people are eager to take part in the culture."

What don't you like about working at Hypertherm?

"I have an 80 mile drive to and from work (160 miles per day). Though not directly work related, it is the only con I can think of when it comes to my job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Continue the culture that already exists at Hypertherm. Recognizing associates as individuals is key to their motivation. Improve some of the internal processes, especially providing constructive feedback on advancement opportunities."
