"I enjoy helping the customers that call in from around the world. I did have to learn that a customer calls in upset because they are frustrated, not because they are mad with me. As long as I can take away the frustration, and help them understand, I have done my job and the consumer can enjoy their product."

What do you like about working at CompuCom?

"Actually hard to say -- had limited contact with actual CompuCom people, and that was only by phone and email. Actual physical contact was only with the client company."

What don't you like about working at CompuCom?

"The people who act as headhunters seem rather disorganized; took a week for the office who arranged the contract assignment with the client to get all of us contractors the ability to log into the CompuCom system to actually report our hours to be able to get paid. Never had any face-to-face contact with anyone from CompuCom, our manager was actually two states away."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would provide more direct feedback to the contracted employees."

"Be aware that taking a job here means no advancement unless someone dies or gets fired, unless you become golfing buddies with the boss."

What don't you like about working at Tyler Junior College?

"The employees that are friends of upper management get treated to lunches and golf games, while those of us that are doing the work are having to cover for them. I constantly fear for my job because I'm never sure how my quality of work is being viewed. My pay check is well below the market standard for my job, even in the education field. I feel like all of my potential is lost here."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would allow for flex time, create more team building exercises and help pull the weight when my employees are feeling over worked."

"There is no room for growth. This position offers a great opportunity for entry level learning, however, because it is so small there is no room for advancement."

"Almost everything. We are here basically to generate good surveys and not to fix issues."

"Don't ask employees what we can do for the company, but ask the company what they can do for us, because without good employees, there will be no company. They can start giving back to employees and try to make a workplace an enjoyable place to be."
