"I stay w/ the job because of the tough economic times and it's a great place to work technology wise, but if you want good compensation you might want to look elsewhere... I researched mine based on official state salary charts and it's at the very bottom, it's not just a feeling that i'm underpaid =("

What don't you like about working at GE Healthcare?

"some people decide things that are not in their area of expertise, though this is slowly changing. if you're hired from outside of the country they will offer you a really low compensation but not if you're hired from within the US, even though you're a real expert at what you do"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"let the experts stay in their area of expertise, they need to identify which decisions are important to be made by those who really know, not those who are in power and have opinion about it. especially things that must be based on study.... some of the management are great though some are not competent, that's why I give them only 3 stars. but overall it's a great place to work"

"They work you to death and the management is incompetent. They steal credit for ideas they did not create and work they did not perform."

"GE as a company and Ge Healthcare in particular are very customer and employee oriented. I loved my years of working there and just retired because the office moved from Boca Raton to MiamI and I was not prepared to deal with the heavy traffic and the commuting after working 3 miles from home for almost 11 years."

"It helps if you speak more than one language, i.e. Spanish, Portuguese as there are good ties with Latin America and Brazil"

"Not to focus so much in re-organization every year as it sometimes makes employees nervous and affects their productivity and loyalty."

"Be better at seeing how the small contributor really helps the company."

"Please don't get sold by the GE brand name. It won't mean much to you in the long run. Make sure you negotiate your base salary very well. There's no concept of annual bonuses, salary increments are meager at best. Manager won't care much about you, you'll have to look out for yourself. Remove the phrase 'work-life balance' from your dictionary."

"Poor salary, long hours of work, telephone conferences with GE employees in China, etc. at odd hours"

"Please revise your salary structure, not everyone gets fooled by the GE brand"
