There have been a lot of challenges with the company but overall it is a safe company to work for if you are not in manufacturing as that seems to have a yearly layoff. Not a lot of work-life balance though and seems to be hard to move around in the company unless you know people."

"Large company without flexibility and clear growth paths. Lots of excess stress from making lots of cuts and cost reduction as opposed to ability to make required risks for success."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Need better plan for grooming and growing young members. Also need to have more feeling of ownership with products. Workplace needs to be upgraded to feel more modern."

"Our unit is deemed non essential to GE's future vision and Seattle is not one of the Center of excellence where most jobs are located in GE."

"I would suggest less of a burden to the MyLearning program with mandated lessons."

"GE is a hopeless bureaucracy, filled with people who are institutionally lazy. Poor engineering and poorer HR."

"Stop making people unhappy. Get rid of excessive regulations. Allow site to have more control."

What don't you like about working at GE Healthcare?

"There can be alot of micro-managing. No feeling of security in my job. We always hear how great our revenue is until it comes time for performance reviews, then we hear how challenging the environment is, without fail."

"Be straight up and honest with the employees. Don't hide behind revenue numbers. Let your people do what they were hired to do."
