"Manager only interested in his own advancement. Company spending $1 billion on new reactors but nowhere near enough on training or spare parts or maintenance shops or new people."

"Freescale and been in a slow squeeze ever since the buyout by Blackstone and the decline in several sectors of their markets. There has been a slow and steady stream of layoffs over the past 4 years."

"Good teamwork. Team culture was good. Opportunity to learn and to make own decisions when solving problems."

"Make sure you negotiate your starting salary. Once you get in, raises will not be much. Ask about career advancement. The company has been going under a lot of restructuring. Employee satisfaction and security was severely damaged."

"Lack of job security. Too much politics. Good performance was recognized by immediate manager but not necessarily by upper manager."

"First level management is good. Upper management don't remunerate efforts of less known engineers much though they have done a good job."

"Spin-off from Motorola. Not as much overhead at Motorola, but soon developed similar poor decision making traits as former parent company."

"Smaller than Motorola, less layers of management to go through to get a decision."

"VPs/Directors seemed paralyzed and decisions were made by committee."
