"The pay is only worth it if you are going to work long term and get into the stock program"

"Management expects you to adjust your personal life to fit your job. Expect to work long hours (70-80), move around frequently with little or no warning, and you wont be able to spend much time with your family! Also, time to do the things you enjoy: hobbies and weekly activities are eaten up by work. Promotions seem more aligned with who puts in the most face time opposed to what work you actually accomplished."

"Let people know when they are doing a good job."

"upper managers did not get along well often mistrustful of each other."

"Just be honest. ask lots of questions about things that are important to you....ie what is the 5 year plan for the company What are the feedbacks in place for employees"

"no feedback, no vision, no leadership, no transparency, no real accountability, no bonus program"

"do 6 month reviews and set some goals for the employees. assess skills and assure that people are utilizing their strengths and getting the training for the weaknesses. 1x per year go over the state of the business. Line out some management and assign responsibilities"

"Enjoy the fast pace of multi-family construction, and the freedom to make decisions as the need arises."
